Welcome to Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church Sunday School. The staff here provides students with religious and cultural education. Sts. Vartanantz Sunday School is open to children from Nursery to Tenth grades. We begin promptly at 10:45 am and end at 12:45 pm. School begins with prayers, singing hymns, a short sermon, plate collection, addressing the events of the week according to The Lantern bulletin and end with announcements before going to class.
The curriculum is from the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church and is entitled “We Believe.” The staff follows the basic guidelines set forth by the Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America. In addition to the curriculum, we participate in Scripture Readings, Hymns, Songs, Prayers, Arts & Crafts, Presentation, Pageants, Divine Liturgy and Assembly Programs in Armenian and English. The Bible used in school is the NRSV version as recommended by AREC. At the end of the academic year, students are given different awards for good Christian character, word bee and good attendance.
